Using and Configuring SwiftLink Email |

Configuring Outlook Express or Mozilla Thunderbird
Steps:
1) When asked for your display name, type your name as you would like it to appear in the "From" field of all outgoing messages.
2) You will be prompted to enter your email address. Enter your full
SwiftLink email address, for example: "
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
".
3) Your Incoming Mail Server should be set to "POP 3" and should be entered as mail.slinkcom.net
4) Your Outgoing Mail Server should be set to "SMTP" and should be entered as mail.slinkcom.net
5) Enter your full email address in the "Account Name" or "User
Name" field. Be sure to use your complete address, for example:
"
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
", because our server will not accept a username
entered as just "johndoe".
6) Enter the password associated with your SwiftLink email account.
7) Check "Remember Password" if you don't want to have to enter your password every time you check your email.
Using SwiftLink Webmail
Steps:
1) Type "www.slinkcom.net" in the address bar of your web browser.
2) On the left side of the screen under "Webmail Login", enter only
the first part of your email address in the "User" field. For example,
if your email address is "

", enter only "johndoe".
3) Enter the password associated with your SwiftLink email account.
4) Press "Enter" or click "Login" and you will be logged in to your email account.
Purpose of Webmail:
The main advantage of webmail is that you can check your email from
anywhere an internet connection is available without the hassle of
configuring a mail program such as Outlook or Thunderbird. Many people
use webmail to check their mail at work or when they are on vacation.
Conveniently, email messages will not be deleted from our server when
checked with webmail. When you get home to your computer, you can still
download your messages with your mail program. However, once an email
message is downloaded with Outlook or Thunderbird, it will no longer be
viewable on webmail.
